Hinton had said that productivity and money will increase with AI, but this money will go to the rich people. Along with this, people's jobs will be lost due to AI and this will prove to be very bad for the society.

Everyone should get a fixed salary

Regarding AI, Hinton has said that governments should set a universal basic income. That means the government should give a set basic salary to every person without caring about their resources.

During a conversation with the BBC, Hinton says that people in Downing Street consulted me and I advised them that Universal Basic Income was a good idea.

Chatbots will be more intelligent than humans

Earlier, Hinton had said that the dangers of AI chatbots are also scary. According to him, chatbots will prove to be more intelligent than humans in the coming times. Not only this, there is a possibility of these chatbots being used for wrong purposes.

Humans are in danger of disappearing

He says that my estimate is that between 5 and 20 years from now there is a half chance that we will have to face the problem of AI.

According to Hinton, new technology could pose a "threat of extinction" to humans because they have "developed a form of intelligence that is far superior to biological intelligence. This is very worrying for us".
